Naturopathic Patient Visits
Currently our clinic doctors are not in network with any insurance providers. As soon as insurance companies in New Hampshire allow naturopathic doctors to join their programs, we will. We urge all interested in naturopathic medical care to contact their insurance companies or their company Human Resource Departments and request our inclusion.
We do recommend that all new patients contact their insurance companies to request coverage; some companies may allow some visits to be submitted for partial or complete coverage. Dr. Mathieson is the chair of the New Hampshire third party reimbursement committee and is working hard to get insurance coverage for all naturopathic doctors in New Hampshire. Please contact your local legislators to encourage their support in this important work!
Non-Surgical Hemorrhoid Insurance Coverage
The Keesey non-surgical hemorrhoid procedure is usually a covered procedure. Contact our clinic for help in determining insurance coverage. HMO insurance companies require their primary care physician (PCP) to provide a referral and may only cover a certain number of visits. Dr. Mathieson is considered an out of network provider, but is the only doctor in New England offering the Keesey non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment.
Laboratory Testing
Standard Lab Testing: Most local laboratory testing can be ordered and covered through your insurance companies. HMO plans typically require that their PCP order the tests or you must be referred by your PCP to the clinic for care.
Specialty Testing
We use many non-conventional tests from laboratories across the country. Our office will assist you in getting pre-approval for any testing that we request. Some labs we use are in-network with a number of large insurance groups while others are not.
Chelation Therapy
Currently, no insurance company is covering chelation therapy.
Medical Nutrition Therapy
Currently our dietitians are networked with all major insurance companies in New Hampshire including BCBS, Cigna, Atnea and Harvard Pilgrim. Please make sure to request a referral from your PCP if you have an HMO policy. We need this in hand at the first appointment.
