NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE

Naturopathic Medicine (also known as naturopathy) is a school of medical philosophy and practice that seeks to improve health and treat disease chiefly by assisting the body’s innate capacity to recover from illness and injury. Naturopathic practice may include a broad array of different modalities, including manual therapy, hydrotherapy, herbalism, acupuncture, counseling, environmental medicine, hormone balancing, whole foods, neurotransmitter balancing, and more. Practitioners tend to emphasize a holistic approach to patient care. Naturopathy has its origins in the United States, but is today practiced in many countries around the world in one form or another, where it is subject to different standards of regulation and levels of acceptance.

What is a Naturopathic Doctor?

Naturopathic doctors are licensed doctors in New Hampshire.  They order imaging and lab tests, administer injections and IV’s as well as prescribe medications when required.  They are like a conventional doctor but with their extensive expertise in integrative medicine they can safely recommend dietary supplements, nutrients and herbal medicine in conjunction with conventional medicines.  Our doctors provide routine checkups for patients, well exams and manage specific conditions as a specialist in conjunction with your PCP.  Either way our doctors allow you to have an “old fashioned” relationship with your provider that you desire while receiving the most cutting edge care available in New England.
