Dr. Bert Mathieson, ND, RD, CDE
Clinic Director, Co-Owner
Dr. Bert Mathieson, ND, MA, RD, LD, CDE is a naturopathic doctor, registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator, and he holds a certification in naturopathic acupuncture. He is a member of the New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NHAND), and was instrumental in getting legislation passed to obtain insurance coverage for naturopathic doctors in New Hampshire. Bert is a general family practitioner and applies the principles of naturopathic medicine to treat a wide range of conditions. There are three conditions in particular for which he has pursued extensive continuing education and has become known for treating. These conditions include: Lyme disease, cancer and diabetes.
Kristi Mathieson, MS, RD, LD, CPT
CFO, Co-Owner
Kristi Mathieson, MS, RD, LD, CLT is a licensed dietician, exercise physiologist and, and certified leap therapist. Kristi completed her undergraduate and graduate training at the University of New Hampshire in kinesiology and nutrition. She comes to New Hampshire Natural Health Clinic with over 25 years experience in the health care industry beginning with a Senior Research position at Tufts Human Nutrition Research Center. Later she was a Clinical Food Service Director at Seacoast Health Center, a Senior Client Service Manager at Apothecom medical communications and an owner of a private health and wellness practice. Kristi has been working over the last several years in health care policy serving as a state representative in the Maine state legislature. Her primary clinical interests lie in treating food allergies/sensitivities for IBS, migraine and fibromyalgia patients.
Dr. Candice Scholl, ND
Dr. Candice Scholl, N.D. is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the state of New Hampshire. She sees patients of all ages including teenagers and children. Dr. Scholl uses science-based medicine as her foundation in her integrative practice and specializes in Hormone issues that can cause difficulties in: Lyme disease, decreased fertility, premature aging, PMS/PMDD, menopause, decreased libido, decreased testosterone production, erectile dysfunction, fatigue, depression, weight gain and digestive issues.
Before joining New Hampshire Natural Health Clinic, Dr. Scholl worked in Salem, NH. She earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. While she attended Bastyr, she received specialized training in diabetes care, IV therapy, women’s health, geriatric health, pediatric care and digestive health. Prior to earning her doctorate, Dr. Scholl graduated for Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts with a degree in chemistry and biology. Outside of work, Dr. Scholl enjoys being active outdoors all-year round. She also enjoys lying in a hammock to read a good book, spending time with family and friends, cooking and using her creative side to get knee deep in craft projects.
Dr. Lisa Klasman, ND
Dr. Lisa Klasman, N.D. is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the state of New Hampshire. She sees patients of all ages and conditions focusing mainly on GI complaints, autoimmune disorders, mold illness, women’s health, and various chronic illnesses.
She earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in beautiful Seattle, Washington where she did specialty training in Immune Health, Diabetes and Gerontology. She has since completed additional training in Thyroid Disorders, Functional Medicine, Brain Health, IBS & SIBO, Fertility, Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), Lyme Disease, Deprescribing Drugs, and Mold Illness.
Dr. Klasman tries to meet her patients where they’re at to help them to achieve their health goals. She concentrates on whole-patient wellness, assessing and treating the underlying cause to restore the body to a state of health. She utilizes primarily natural treatments that are custom tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Treatments include lifestyle and nutritional counseling, nutrient supplementation, herbal preparations, home treatments and more. Her training qualifies her to manage the side effects of pharmaceutical drugs as well as their safe discontinuation when appropriate, while providing alternatives to them. Her holistic approach places a strong emphasis on prevention and self-care as a means of maintaining and promoting health. She is dedicated to helping each of her patients achieve optimal health, not just the absence of disease.
When not working, she enjoys spending time in nature doing some of her favorite things such as running, hiking, cycling, camping, and traveling the continent. While indoors she enjoys reading, knitting, and tending to her indoor hydroponic garden.
Angela Fortier, AHS
Angela comes to New Hampshire Natural Health Clinic with years of customer service experience. Having worked in retail for many years she understands the importance of customer/patient satisfaction. She graduated from Ultimate Medical Academy with a diploma in Medical Administration as well as her Associates’ degree in Administrative Health Sciences. When not in the office she spends her days playing hide and seek with her daughter, as well as spending time with family and friends.
